According to a press release issued by the organizing organization, Ghimire was selected as the best competitor by the jury for the award. His competitors were WTW’s Dr. Christopher Au and Verizk’s Jack Farrell.
Ghimire is also a professional law professional. Ghimire has dedicated four years to improving efficiency, fairness and public trust in insurance dispute resolution – critical to building consumer trust and market stability in Nepal.
During her four years as an Assistant Director at the Nepal Insurance Authority, she worked as a Law Officer and addressed disputes between insurers and insurers through grievance resolution, case analysis, oral hearing, mediation and decision-writing.
The statement reads , his most significant contribution has been to resolve more than 300 insurance-related disputes — many precedent-setting issues that directly affected insurer operations and complaint responses. These weren’t just paperwork; Families were waiting for death claim payments, businesses relied on fire insurance claims, and individuals sought regulatory fairness in personal accident compensation.
The statement claims that Ghimire personally drafted more than 300 formal decisions issued by the authority, which shaped the insurance law jurisprudence of Nepal. These decisions clarify vague provisions, streamline procedures and uphold the rights of insured individuals while serving as a reference point for insurers, lawyers and regulators.
