Kathmandu. Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel He said that the budget of 83 will focus on building a strong economy.
Speaking at a programme organised by the National Planning Commission (NPC) at the Ministry of Finance on Sunday to present its report on policy and programme discussions on the budget formulation for the upcoming fiscal year, Minister Poudel said policy, legal and structural reforms were underway to improve the economy. “Therefore, the budget for the next fiscal year will also focus on building a strong economy,” he said.
National Planning Commission Vice-Chairman Prof Dr Shivaraj Adhikari submitted the report to Finance Minister Poudel. Vice-Chairman Adhikari said that the report has been prepared after extensive consultation and discussion with the ministries, bodies and commissions so that coordination among the ministries and to make it easier to prepare the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
