Broker decides to suspend securities service until situation arising out of Genji protest

Kathmandu. The Stock Brokers Association of Nepal (SAI) has decided to suspend the securities service until the situation created by the performance of GenG is resolved.

The association gave this information by issuing a press release today. “The government should immediately provide security to the securities brokers as there is no situation to reach the offices of securities brokers in the ring road through various places in the Kathmandu Valley due to the curfew order issued by the district administration offices due to the possibility of further demonstrations,” the statement reads. We inform all the regulatory bodies, market operators, security bodies and investors that all our services have been suspended due to the difficulty in distributing. We apologize for the irreparable damage caused. ’

The association has appealed to the state mechanism and all its subordinate bodies to play a leading role in restoring normalcy by taking necessary initiatives to resolve the situation created by the Jenji demonstration.

“The tragic incident that took place on September 23 during the demonstration called by the Genji generation has saddened all Nepalis,” the association said. “The Association pays heartfelt tribute to all the youths who lost their lives in course of the demonstration,” the statement reads, “We wish for the speedy recovery of all the young demonstrators who were injured and treated in course of the demonstration. ’
