BN Gharti returns to banking sector after a decade, becomes CEO of Best Finance

Kathmandu. After a decade, BN Gharti has returned to the banking sector. Best Finance, which is invested by Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs), has appointed Gharti as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). 11 years ago, Gharti was the acting CEO of the then Kist Bank.

Gharti was recently active in the field of banking consultancy. Gharti’s book ‘Banking Discipline’ won this year’s Samana Banking Award.

Best Finance, which is invested by Non-Resident Nepalis (NRNs), has appointed Gharti as the Chief Executive Officer. Best Finance has investments from Nepali businessmen, including non-resident Nepalis from Qatar, RK Sharma, and Robinda Shrestha Govinda from Japan.

Gharti, who concluded in the book that a development bank and a finance company should be run, but cannot be run in the current situation, has been entrusted with the responsibility of running Best Finance, which has emerged from the troubled state.

Best Finance, which was declared troubled, was removed from it on Gharti’s advice. He had also worked as a consultant to remove Nepal Finance and Sambriddhi Finance from the troubled state. Gharti, who has an MBA in management, is also currently pursuing a PhD.
