Banks announce interest rates for June, how much for whom?

Kathmandu. Banks have announced interest rates to be applicable in June. The banks have published the interest rate for June 15 by publishing a notice today.

According to the information received so far, out of 19 commercial banks, 14 have kept the maximum interest rate on personal fixed deposits while five have reduced it. Of the national-level developments, six have kept interest rates stable, while one has been reduced and one has increased.

Kumari Bank, Prabhu Bank, Everest Bank, NMB Bank and NIC Asia Bank have reduced the maximum interest rate on individual fixed deposits for June. Kumari Bank has reduced the interest rate to 5.71 percent, Prabhu Bank to 6.10 percent, Everest Bank to 6.55 percent, NMB Bank to 6 percent and NIC Asia Bank to 6.55 percent. Kumari Bank had offered 5.91 per cent interest, Prabhu Bank 6.61 per cent, Everest Bank 6.64 per cent, NMB Bank 6.6 per cent and NIC Asia Bank 6.6 per cent.

Similarly, Rastriya Banijya Bank, Sanima Bank, Prime Commercial Bank, Nepal SBI Bank, Nepal Bank, Cgitans Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Nabil Bank, Siddhartha Bank, Nepal Investment Mega Bank, Himalayan Bank, Laxmi Sunrise Bank, Machhapuchhre Bank and Global IME Bank have kept the maximum interest rate stable for the month. Rastriya Banijya Bank 6 percent, Sanima Bank 6.33 percent, Prime Commercial Bank 6.25 percent, Nepal SBI Bank 5.50 percent, Nepal Bank 5.45 percent, Citizen’s Bank 5.65 percent, Standard Chartered Bank 6.25 percent, Nabil Bank 5.75 percent, Siddhartha Bank 5.75 percent, Nepal Investment Mega Bank 5.50 percent, Himalayan Bank 5.50 percent, Himalayan Bank 5.50 percent. Machhapuchchhre Bank and Global IME Bank offered a maximum interest rate of 6 per cent and 6 per cent respectively. Now these banks have fixed the same interest rate for June.

National-level development banks

On the other hand, national level Kamana Seva, Jyoti, Garima, Lumbini, Muktinath and Garima have continued the maximum interest rate of 6.50 percent in June. Shangri-La has reduced the interest rate from 6.25 per cent in May to 6.16 per cent in June, while Mahalaxmi has increased it from 6 per cent to 6.15 per cent.
