Kathmandu. An awareness program on non-life insurance has been held in Birtamod of Jhapa. An awareness programme on non-life insurance was held with the employees of banks, financial institutions and insurance companies at Birtamod on Monday. The program has been organized to provide information about non-life insurance.
The program was jointly organized by Nepal Insurance Professional Society (NIPS) and co-organized by Nepal Insurance Authority, Koshi.
On the occasion, Chairman of NIPS Khadga Bahadur Shrestha briefed about the limits, terms and conditions of the insurance company. He said that the insured’s attention should also be paid to the risk of reducing the risk at the time of insuring.
According to the organizers, such a program related to insurance has been organized for the first time in Koshi Province. Various problems, inquiries and legal provisions of existing non-life insurance were discussed in the program.
The participants complained that the payment of insurance claims was cumbersome and long. Although insurance is indispensable in the banking process, it is necessary to insure the total assets rather than the actual assets.
The program was graced by the chief guest of Nepal Insurance Authority, Koshi Province Chief Preeti Dev, Sanima GIC Insurance Koshi Province Chief Murari Prasad Subedi, Neco Insurance Koshi Province Chief Saroj Pokharel, Protective Micro Insurance Koshi Province Chief Dhana Bhattarai, Siddhartha Premier Insurance’s Prakash Niraula and representatives of various banks and financial institutions.
Chandra Prakash Baskota, chief of Sali Birtamod branch, gave the welcome speech and the program was facilitated by Narayan Gautam.
