Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) Chairman Sharad Ojha has said that the government would start bringing ‘Annual Insurance Policy’ for the entire insurance sector from the next fiscal year. Addressing separate interaction programmes organized by The Nepal Insurance Authority (NEA) on the draft annual insurance policy- 2082 BS with life insurance company and small life insurance company and non-life insurance company, small non-life insurance company and reinsurance company at the central office, Kupandol today, Chairman Ojha said that the annual insurance policy is being introduced so that the reform of the insurance sector moves forward in a systematic manner, the projected service is delivered and the insurance sector becomes more reliable. ।
Chairman Ojha said, “After bringing the annual insurance policy, the program and budget will be made accordingly, the resources will be ensured, the implementing agencies and branches will be clear and it will be easy to evaluate them, everyone has to work within their jurisdiction.” ”
Urging the insurance companies to make all kinds of suggestions, big and small, after conducting a thorough study of the draft of the annual insurance policy, Chairman Ojha said, “We will try to incorporate the suggestions coming from the insurance companies in the policy. ”
Chairman Ojha said, “Insurance companies have paid claims, but delay in claim payment is the main problem, after the payment of claims easily, a good message goes to the market, only if the citizens are satisfied with the service, the credibility of insurance increases, we all have to increase the credibility of insurance, the problems within us should be solved on priority.” ”
He said that work was underway to prepare a report with suggestions after studying how to insure government structures including government buildings, roads and archaeological properties.
Executive Director of Nepal Insurance Authority Sushil Dev Subedi said that nea is going to bring annual insurance policy to advance the entire insurance sector in the right way.
On the occasion, Director of Nepal Insurance Authority Pujan Dhungel Adhikari presented the draft of the Annual Insurance Policy- 2082 BS.
Directors of Nepal Insurance Authority, Chief Executive Officers of Life Insurance Company and Small Life Insurance Company and Non-Life Insurance Company, Small Non-Life Insurance Company and Reinsurance Company participated in the program.
