Kathmandu. The Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade of Thailand have signed an agreement on mutual cooperation and trade promotion.
##The agreement was signed in Bangkok in the presence of the Prime Ministers of both countries by Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and Sanan Angubolkul, President of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade. .
This MoU aims to strengthen trade relations between Nepal and Thailand, promote economic cooperation, and create a structured framework for expanding trade and investment. It is also believed to make a significant contribution to further strengthening trade cooperation between the two countries and expanding economic cooperation.
Under the bilateral agreement, both sides have expressed their commitment to support trade promotion, facilitation of joint ventures, exchange of business information, and industrial cooperation. In addition, the agreement includes the topic of encouraging participation in trade fairs, business forums, and special economic events. The MoU also mentions the promotion of a dispute resolution system and strengthening the exchange of technical expertise and training.
Speaking on the occasion, Federation President Dhakal said that this agreement between Nepal and Thailand has laid a new foundation for economic cooperation between Nepal and Thailand. “There is ample potential for trade and business cooperation between the two countries. We believe that the mutual cooperation between the Federation and the Board of Trade of Thailand will open up new opportunities for trade and investment. Which will provide opportunities for businesses of both countries to flourish.” Chairman Dhakal said.
##Similarly, Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade President Angubolkul said that this partnership will create new opportunities for the business communities of both countries. .
The MoU, signed on the occasion of the 6th Summit of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC), will be in force for three years and will serve as a strong foundation for continued collaboration between Nepali and Thai businesses. The Federation looks forward to working with the Board of Trade of Thailand to successfully implement the goals of this agreement and explore new possibilities for mutual cooperation.
A Nepali delegation, including Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, will pay an official visit to Thailand from 19 to 23 Chaitra and participate in the 6th BIMSTEC Summit.
