Kathmandu. Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has announced that his AI minister is pregnant.
The robot, named DILA, is expecting 83 artificial babies. Prime Minister Rama said the 83 new “babies” would work as assistants to Samajwadi Party MPs. “These AI assistants will be fully operational by 2026 and will support MPs with a range of critical tasks,” Rama said. ’
With this announcement, AI Minister Dialla has caught global attention.
Speaking at the Global Dialogue (BGD) in Germany, Albanian Prime Minister Rama said, “We took a big risk today with DIL and performed very well. So for the first time, Diala is pregnant and we’re expecting 83 babies. ’
Albania recently became the first country in the world to have an AI minister. This virtual minister, made up of pixels and code, works entirely through AI.
Albanian Prime Minister Rama said Dialah’s 83 artificial babies would serve as assistants to lawmakers attending parliamentary sessions. The children will record the proceedings of each session and provide work-related advice to lawmakers.
All of these children will learn from their mother, Dyla, and will be available to lawmakers for next year.
Prime Minister Rama also did not explain how these AI assistants will work. He cited the example of an MP who went out for coffee and was late. The assistant AI will tell them what was said when they were not in the House and how to respond. This will make the work of MPs much easier.
D.A. was appointed as the country’s AI minister in September. The AI minister is depicted as a woman dressed in traditional Albanian attire. The DA has the responsibility of making decisions about all public tenders.
The aim is to make Albania’s public procurement system completely transparent and corruption-free.
