Kathmandu. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, 64 millimetres rainfall has occurred across the country in the last six hours.
Madhes Province received the highest rainfall of 64 millimetres. According to the Department, Birgunj received 64 millimetres rainfall. Similarly, Gaur received 57 mm, Bara Maheshpur 53 mm, Kalaiya 54 mm, Chitwan Tandi 50 mm and Parsa Thori 48 mm.
According to the Department, heavy rainfall has occurred in Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki districts. However, comparatively low rainfall was recorded in Koshi, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim districts.
The highest rainfall of 41 millimetres was recorded at Lalitpur’s Godavari station in the Kathmandu Valley. Khumaltar of Lalitpur received 28 mm rainfall, Chandragiri of Kathmandu 35 mm, Kapan 20 mm, Kalanki 23 mm and Nagarkot of Bhaktapur 30 mm.
