Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Merchant Banking Association of Nepal (MBA) has concluded its 16th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 19. Although it was supposed to be held in Pokhara, it was shifted to Kathmandu to ensure the safety and participation of all the members in view of the recent situation in the country.

The meeting was successfully held at Elft Hotel, Kathmandu on September 18 and was attended by representatives and members of all the merchant banking institutions of Nepal (MBA). The meeting reviewed the activities and achievements of the Merchant Banking Association Nepal for the fiscal year 2081/82 and also approved the annual program and budget for the fiscal year 2082/83. KATHMANDU: Merchant Banking Association of Nepal (MBA) has expressed its commitment to promote professionalism and sustainable growth in the merchant banking business in Nepal.

Current issues, challenges and future strategic plans in Nepal’s merchant banking business were discussed. The meeting has amended the name of the Association and other necessary amendments. Policy issues to strengthen the role of merchant banks in the capital market were also discussed in the program.
