Kathmandu. The 13th edition of Asian Paints Nepal Kaleidoscope is going to be held at Nepal Engineering College (NEC), Changunarayan. The Department of Architecture has invited students of architecture 2020 batch to participate in the competition on Wednesday.
Students of Architecture 2020 batch who want to participate in the competition have also been given this year’s concept and work order. According to the work order, the students will present the concept by the end of August. “We have given the students the concept and mandate of the 13th edition of Asian Paints Nepal Kaleidoscope. By the end of August, students make field visits and designs with concepts. Sweta Amatya, assistant professor at the college’s department of architecture, said.
According to him, only the top three designs from the college level will be selected in the national competition from this time. In the competition between architecture students studying in the fourth year of bachelor’s level, attractive cash prizes, trophies and certificates will be given to the best design at the college level.
Pooja Rai, a student of kaleidoscope intra-college round of Asian paints architecture and interior design students award 2023, bagged a cash prize of Rs 50,000, a trophy and a certificate.
Deepak Pant, professor at the Department of Architecture of the college, said that the competition is expected to highlight the knowledge, skills and art acquired by the architects at the national level. Students from 12 architecture colleges across the country will compete in the national competition.
The Department of Neck-Architecture has been associated with Asian Paints Nepal since 2012. The first Asian Paints Architecture Design Competition was held for the 2008 batch.
The top 15 winners will get exposure to the architecture industry through Asian Paints Nepal’s annual calendar. The college affiliated to Pokhara University offers undergraduate and postgraduate studies in engineering.
