Kathmandu. Sudip Acharya, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank, has taken the oath of office and secrecy from Bam Bahadur Mishra, Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank.
A meeting of the Board of Directors of the bank held on Friday elected Acharya as the Chairman of the 19th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the bank. As per the Banks and Financial Institutions Act, the elected chairperson has to take oath of office and secrecy before the Nepal Rastra Bank.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Executive Director of Bank and Financial Institutions Regulation Department of Nepal Rastra Bank, Guru Prasad Poudel, Executive Director of Department of Financial Institutions Supervision Satyendra Timilsina, Director and CEO of Development Bank, among others.
Sudip Acharya, Bhim Prasad Tulachan, Chaturakhar Adhikari from the promoter group and Balram Baral, Bishweshwar Subedi and Dr. Shrestha Shrestha from the general group were elected from the 19th AGM held on Friday. Pawan Kumar Sharma was elected unopposed.
