Shangri-La Development Bank’s net profit rises to Rs 540 million, dividend capacity up 11%

Kathmandu. Shangri-La Development Bank last fiscal year 2081. Financial statements for the fourth quarter of 82 have been made public.

According to the financial statement, the bank earned a profit of Rs 537 million in the last fiscal year. The previous fiscal year 2080. The bank had posted a net profit of Rs 504.2 million in 2017-19. In this way, the bank’s profit has increased by 6.51 percent compared to the previous year.

In the review year, the bank’s distributable profit stood at Rs 413.8 million. In the previous fiscal year, the bank’s net profit stood at Rs 131.8 million. In the review year, the bank’s ability to distribute dividend was 11.64 percent.

In the review year, the operating profit of the bank increased to Rs 774.2 million. In the previous year, the operating profit was limited to Rs 703.4 million. The operating profit of the bank also increased by 10.06 percent.

In the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year, the bank earned Rs 1.88 billion in interest income. In the same period last year, the bank had earned Rs 1.90 billion in interest income. Interest income decreased by 1.36 percent.

With a paid-up capital of Rs 3.55 billion, the bank’s rated earnings and reserve size have increased to Rs 413.8 million and Rs 1.60 billion respectively. In the previous year, the retained earnings and reserves stood at Rs 131.8 million and Rs 1.42 billion respectively.

In the review year, the bank collected deposits of Rs 54.66 billion and invested Rs 43.21 billion in loans. In the previous fiscal year, the bank collected deposits of Rs 54.02 billion and invested Rs 41.78 billion in loans.

In the review year, the bank’s bad loan ratio (NPL) increased marginally to 5.64 percent. The bank’s NPL stood at 3.93 per cent in the same period last year.

The bank’s annualised earnings per share (EPS) increased to Rs 15.10. Last year, the EPS was limited to Rs 14.70. The bank has a net worth of Rs 156.71 per share with a PE ratio of 30.65 times.
