Kathmandu. A professor from a renowned University of South Korea has visited Nepal Engineering College. Dong Hwa Kim, a researcher at SeoulTech University in Korea and executive of the Deadak Science and Technology Cooperative, visited the college and offered to collaborate between faculty and students on the issue of study and research.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Dong Hwa Kim said that SeoulTech University is interested in collaborating with Nepal Engineering College on how to learn and teach from AI. Professor Kim said that the collaboration between the two institutions would be important to implement south Korea’s development and success in the field of science, technology and engineering in Nepal and to make the learning of Nepali students effective.
The academic and research collaboration between Seoul Tech University and Nepal Engineering College is expected to contribute to the academic advancement of both the institutions. College Principal Durga Prasad Bhandari said that collaboration would be made for research and learning of students and faculty. “We have always been positive about providing international exposure to the faculty and students of Nepal Engineering College. We are positive about collaborating with renowned Korean universities in the field of education and research. Principal Bhandari said.
Assistant Principal of the college MohanDhwaj KC, Chief of Administration Shrima Sharma and departmental heads of the college welcomed Professor Dong Hua Kim and briefed him about the academic information of the college. Professor Kim is a person with long experience in university teaching and research. With a PhD in Electronics Engineering, Computational Intelligence and Systems, he has research and teaching experience in various universities and colleges around the world.
Nepal Engineering College has been collaborating with various universities and colleges around the world for the learning of students and faculty. Every year, Nepali students go to study in the erasmus project of European educational institutions, Japan’s Hawa Project, etc.
