Kathmandu. A two-day capacity building training has been provided to teachers and staff of Nepal Engineering College (NEC) in Changunarayan, Bhaktapur. The participants in the training conducted at the Staff College in Lalitpur were trained in leadership development, pedagogy, information and communication and skill development.
In the training that began on Sunday, BK Raman Bhattarai, Dr. Narendra Bikram Raj Paneru, Manasi Agrawal, Prof. Dr. Balmukunda Bhattarai trained the participants on thematic subjects.
The teachers and staff said that they got information from the training on how to arouse students’ interest in studies, how to effectively explain the students’ curiosity and the content of the curriculum. They said that such trainings on leadership development, skill development and personality development would also help in maintaining the academic and administrative quality of the college.
Mohan Dhawaj KC, Assistant Principal of the college, said that leadership capacity development training would help in the personality development and capacity development of teachers and employees.
Nepal Engineering College, run as a non-profit social educational institution, has been providing training and coaching to enhance the capacity of teachers and employees. This college, affiliated to Pokhara University, offers various engineering subjects at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
