Kathmandu. Prime Minister Balendra Shah has said that along with thinking, it is necessary to change the behavior for change.

Prime Minister Shah made the remarks while issuing a message on his Facebook page on the occasion of Bijaya Dashami today. “Bijaya Dashami inspires people to give up negative thinking like arrogance, greed, jealousy, violence and discrimination. We all need to unite to remove corruption, bad governance, delay, inequality and political malaise that are demonic tendencies in this day and to make every citizen feel that the government is there for us,” he wrote, adding, “Honest efforts, determination and collective efforts will help us to remove such distortions. For change, it is necessary to change behavior along with thinking.” ’

Prime Minister Shah said that this festival will also provide an opportunity to bind people of all classes, communities and regions in one thread in a geographical, cultural, and linguistically diverse society and to share intimacy with friends and relatives who have been separated for many years. “There is a tradition of receiving tika, jamara and blessings from the elders as the blessings of Durga Bhawani. The elders wish that we also get victory in every good deed, just like Durga Bhawani achieved victory. We also reach out to the dignitaries who are far away to receive blessings,” he said, “Let’s celebrate Bijaya Dashami from our respective places as per our capacity. Let us share harmony, unity, respect and love with each other.” ’

The Prime Minister has wished happiness, peace and prosperity to all living at home and abroad on this auspicious occasion.
