The total merchandise trade deficit increased by 26 percent to Rs. 324.93 billion in the same period of the previous year. The deficit had increased by 8.6 percent in the same period of the previous year. <\/p>\n<p>Total merchandise imports increased by 31.6 per cent to Rs 401.52 billion in the first two months. Such imports had increased by 16.2 per cent in the same period of the previous year. <\/p>\n<p>During the review period, the total merchandise exports increased by 61.9 percent to Rs. 76.59 billion.
