KATHMANDU: Kumari Bank Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Nepal (FFE) in continuation of its commitment to sustainability through its product, manpower and strategic partnerships. The objective of this partnership is to promote women’s economic empowerment, sustainable finance, enterprise development and business resilience. <\/p>\n
The agreement was signed by Chandan Karki, Chief Investment & Marketing Officer of Kumari Bank Limited and Darshana Shrestha, President of Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Nepal. This partnership is an important step towards further strengthening the supportive ecosystem for women-led businesses and enterprises. <\/p>\n
The Partnership will focus on women entrepreneurs’ access to responsible finance, enterprise development, sustainable and climate resilient investment, digital solutions, market opportunities, and value chain linkages. <\/p>\n
The collaboration will explore innovative financing measures, including cashflow-based credit rating, movable asset-based finance facilities, guarantees, and other risk-sharing mechanisms to address the financial challenges faced by women-led enterprises and enhance their growth and resilience. <\/p>\n
Arpan Poudel, Head of Sustainable Banking Department, Kumari Bank Limited said, “The partnership reflects our shared commitment to expand women entrepreneurs’ access to finance, markets and knowledge while promoting inclusive and sustainable finance.” He further added that the partnership aims to integrate the strong network of Women Entrepreneurs Federation Nepal and Kumari Bank’s sustainable banking capabilities to help make women-led businesses more financially viable, resilient and growth-oriented. He further added that the collaboration aims to contribute to building a more resilient, inclusive and sustainable economy by promoting gender equality in economic opportunities. <\/p>\n
The collaboration will also develop mechanisms for joint learning, impact measurement and engagement with stakeholders. Enterprise growth, access to finance, business revitalization, job creation, and sustainable business practices will be promoted as key areas of this initiative. This partnership reflects Kumari Bank and Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Nepal’s shared commitment to create practical, scalable and sustainable opportunities for women entrepreneurs and women-led enterprises across Nepal. <\/p>\n
With a focus on customer-centric innovation, responsible banking, and sustainable finance, Kumari Bank has been continuously strengthening its contribution to the long-term economic transformation of Nepal.
