Kathmandu. Jagdamba Motors Pvt. Ltd. has completed the regional stage of the ARE GP Racing Qualifiers in Butwal. Jagdamba Motors, the authorized distributor of TVS Motor Company in Nepal, in association with Balaji Automobiles, the authorized dealer of TVS for the Butwal region, organized the qualifiers at Shree Gaurang Easy Way Trial Center in Tilottama-5, Manigram. <\/p>\n
The event was attended by emerging riders, motorsports enthusiasts and amateur racers from the Butwal region. According to the organizers, the registration process had to be stopped after the number of participants reached 76. According to Jagdamba Motors, the growing interest in motorsports in Butwal and the presence of new talent has added to the enthusiasm for the event. <\/p>\n
The participants had received training related to racing from two racers from Nepal, Sujan Thapa Magar and Nawang Moktan. Former ARE GP Nepal winner and Madras International Circuit winner Sujan and four-time national champion in track and tarmac racing Nawang trained the participants on riding posture, cornering techniques, leaning, braking and vision control. <\/p>\n
After the theoretical training, the participants practiced the skills they learned through on-track drills under the guidance of the instructor. After that, a competitive race was organized in the 160cc category. The top three riders from the competition were selected for the ARE GP Grand Finale. <\/p>\n
In the 160cc category, Dheeraj BK was the winner with a time of 34.07 seconds. Abhishek Panthi was the first runner-up with 34.62 seconds and Arik Shrestha was the second runner-up with 34.87 seconds. They will now represent Butwal in the ARE GP Grand Finale. <\/p>\n
The Grand Finale will compete between the riders selected from the regional qualifiers of Butwal, Kathmandu, Nepalgunj, Itahari and Pokhara. The winners of the 160cc and 200cc categories will get a chance to represent Nepal in international racing at the Madras International Circuit in India. There they will compete against riders from more than 50 countries. The travel and accommodation expenses of the winners will be borne by Jagdamba Motors and TVS Motor Company, India. <\/p>\n
Speaking at the event, Vishal Jaiswal, managing director of Balaji Automobiles, said that the response received from Butwal has been encouraging. He said that the cancellation of registration of 76 people shows a lot of enthusiasm for motorsports in the region. He said that the rider, who is on the track for the first time, got to compete after training from the national champion and expressed confidence that the three finalists from Butwal will perform well in the grand finale. <\/p>\n
The ARE GP is an initiative of Jagadamba Motors to develop motorsports culture in Nepal. Under the program, open training will be held at the Vehicle Research and Training Center in Satungal through Apache Track Experience, Apache Racing Qualifiers in Kathmandu, Butwal, Nepalgunj, Itahari and Pokhara and the ARE GP Grand Finale will be held among the best riders. <\/p>\n
According to Jagdamba Motors, the company has been supporting the Nepali racers participating in the TVS One Make Championship. With this, Nepali riders have been getting the experience of competing in the international circuit. The victory of Sujan Thapa Magar in the Madras International Circuit has also been presented by the company as an achievement of this effort. <\/p>\n
