KATHMANDU: Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal has said that the government is trying to create an environment for development and investment through reforms in existing laws. <\/p>\n
Speaking at a workshop seminar on ‘Legal Reforms for Investment and Development’ organized by the Ministry of Infrastructure Development on Friday, Minister Lamsal said that the problems seen in investment and development would be resolved legally. He said that the government was focused on making citizen-friendly laws, saying that the state system would run according to the law and the results would also be seen. <\/p>\n
Minister Lamsal said that the nation will be formed as the Act is the mirror of the country. He also said that this seminar will play an important role in the necessary reforms to complete the work of infrastructure construction of the country in a more dynamic and effective manner. “The Act is the Act of the country. As the Act is, so is the nation. Our Act is like it now, our society is also like that. If you look at our current Urban Act, our city is also like that. Our education act is like it now, our schools are also according to that,” he said, “The result is also according to the act we have made. Lamsal said that they should study the draft prepared by them and think about how to make the law better. “We were passing the Procurement Act. At that time, the Contractors’ Association brought a suggestion,” he said, “But we did not accept that suggestion. Because their suggestions did not give policy departure.
