Deepak Dhungel, chairman of Rhino Water Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., said that the accident caused a loss of about Rs 15 crore. He complained that the authority did not provide policy facilitation to the Nepal Insurance Authority despite taking the initiative of the Nepal Insurance Authority for the insurance of cruise (ship) time and again. <\/p>\n
Dhungel complained that the insurance company was rejecting the claim saying that even though the bank had insured the loan equivalent to the loan, there was no provision to bear the risk of the ship. “We had asked to insure the plane as well,” he told Insurance Khabar, “but the insurance company had insured only the property including the hotel.” <\/p>\n
“We were in a hurry to get the insurance at the time of loan approval, we were interested in other companies as well,” Dhungel said in response to the insurance report’s further inquiry about why the aircraft was not insured, but due to the delay, we finally got the insurance in National Insurance. <\/p>\n
Entrepreneur Dhungel has demanded that a policy should be made to bear the risk of the entrepreneurs who invest in water tourism in Nepal. He said that insurance of investment related to water tourism is necessary not only for me, but also for other businessmen. Since it is not possible to continue the business for a long time by taking only personal risk, this should be addressed immediately by the state. <\/p>\n
Although Nepal has a provision of cargo ship insurance, there is no insurance facility for the risk of aircraft built and operated for recreational and tourism purposes, complain entrepreneurs. <\/p>\n
