Kathmandu. Nepal Engineering College has organized an educational orientation program to welcome the newly admitted students for the academic year 2083. <\/p>\n
Principal of the college, Engineer Durga Prasad Bhandari, welcomed the students of Gen-G generation and informed them about various aspects of engineering education, its possibilities and the role of engineering sector in building the society and nation. <\/p>\n
Stating that there are various dimensions and possibilities in the engineering field, Principal Bhandari said that engineering is an important basis for the development of the society and the nation. He said, “Engineering is not just a subject, it has many dimensions. Engineering can play an important role in the development of the country and society.” \u201d<\/p>\n
Stressing that the students should continue to study with hard work and discipline during the four-year course of the Bachelor’s level, Principal Bhandari said that the college is always committed to provide knowledge, skills and guidance to the students. <\/p>\n
Welcoming the new entrants, he said that they can also learn a lot about new thinking and technology from the Gen-G generation. “We are very happy to welcome this generation to the college. We can also learn a lot from you Gen-G generation,” he said, adding that the success of the students is the success of the college. <\/p>\n
On the occasion, Assistant Principal of the college, Mohandhwaj KC, said that the college is committed to providing quality engineering education to the students. Stating that a full-time faculty has been arranged to address the queries and problems of the students, he said that priority has been given to practical education. <\/p>\n
Stating that the college has modern laboratory, library and facilities required for study and practical teaching, Assistant Principal KC stressed that students should work hard to fulfill their dreams and goals. <\/p>\n
In the program, faculty of different departments informed about the curriculum of the subject, style of teaching-learning, evaluation system, rules to be followed by students and academic activities of the college. <\/p>\n
According to Mahesh Pujara, Media Relations Officer of the college, the students were briefed about the academic environment, departmental structure, practical teaching and academic discipline. <\/p>\n
According to the college, most of the seats in Nepal Engineering College have been filled this year. According to the college, most of the seats in programs like Architecture, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics, Information and Communication and Civil and Rural Engineering are filled. <\/p>\n
The college, which operates as a non-profit social educational institution, has been providing scholarships worth Rs. 15 crores every year. The college says that the attraction of students is increasing due to scholarship opportunities, quality education and comparatively accessible fees. <\/p>\n
