In the first month of July, insurance companies have brought in business of more than Rs 32 billion. <\/p>\n<p>According to the Insurance Reflection released by the Nepal Insurance Authority, 14 life, 14 non-life, 3 light life and 4 micro non-life insurance companies collected a total insurance premium of Rs 32.02 billion in the current fiscal year. In the previous fiscal year 2082. In the previous fiscal year, the companies had collected a total insurance premium of Rs 24.41 billion. The company&#8217;s business increased by 31.15 percent in the review period compared to the previous year. <\/p>\n<p>According to the data, life insurance companies have earned a total insurance premium of Rs 26.62 billion in the current fiscal year. This is 32.97 percent more than the previous year. In the previous year, life insurance companies had earned a total insurance premium of Rs 20.02 billion. <\/p>\n<p>In the current financial year, the life companies collected Rs 4.89 billion in first life insurance premium and Rs 21.72 billion in renewal life premium. In the previous year, the companies had collected Rs 3.63 billion in first life premium and Rs 16.38 billion in renewal life premium. In the review period compared to the previous year, the first insurance premium increased by 34.75 percent and the renewal insurance premium by 32.58 percent. <\/p>\n<p>Similarly, in the current fiscal year, non-life insurance companies have earned a total insurance premium of Rs 5.40 billion. In the previous year, the companies had earned a total insurance premium of Rs 4.39 billion. The business of non-life insurance companies has increased by 22.85 percent in the review period compared to the previous year. <\/p>\n<p>In the current fiscal year, the number of life insurance policies (excluding temporary, short-term, foreign employment life insurance policies) stood at 59,94,953. This is 4.39 percent more than the same period last year. In the previous year, the number was 57,42,735. <\/p>\n<p>During the review period, the number of temporary and short term life insurance policies stood at 63,01,875 and the number of foreign employment insurance policies stood at 19,43,693. In the previous year, the number of temporary and short term life insurance policies was 7,524,394 and the number of foreign employment insurance policies was 2,619,236.
