The Finance Committee of the House of Representatives has given various 8-point directives to the government. <\/p>\n<p>A meeting of the committee held today gave this directive. Based on the discussions held in various meetings of the sub-committee, suggestions received from experts and stakeholders and field study, the committee has directed the concerned bodies of the government to give the following instructions: <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"> <strong>Instructions<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>}<\/p>\n<p>The Government of Nepal, Ministry of Finance, Government of Nepal, to implement relief and recovery programs for the industrialists and businessmen affected by the floods in the Bhotekoshi River of Rasuwa; Directive to the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation and the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, <\/p>\n<p>The government has directed the Government of Nepal, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and the National Planning Commission to review the standards of urbanization and ongoing development projects in the riverine areas as the floods have severely affected the settlements in the riverine areas<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p>Directive to the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Foreign Affairs to develop and expand the system of inter-country information exchange on early warning by strengthening the early warning system on existing<\/p>\n<p>disasters.<\/p>\n<p>Directs the Government of Nepal and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to take all diplomatic initiatives to effectively raise the issues of climate change in Nepal on the basis of facts and logic in international forums to establish climate finance as a sustainable and reliable source of development for the country<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p>The Government of Nepal has directed the Ministry of Infrastructure Development to update the infrastructure standards based on future climate projections and to adopt climate-resilient project design techniques by conducting climate risk analysis in the preparation of large infrastructure projects<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p>The government has directed the Ministry of Finance to extend the installment period of the bank loan and waive the interest for that period, to provide loans at concessional rates for the construction of housing projects and other structures and to forward the payment of the remaining payment of the remaining amount of the contractors, <\/p>\n<p>The Government of Nepal has directed the Ministry of Finance to facilitate the payment of insurance claims of the physical infrastructures, vehicles, drivers, and projects damaged by the Bhotekoshi flood<\/p>\n<p>s.<\/p>\n<p>The government has directed the Ministry of Finance to provide special economic package along with special psycho-social counseling to the families and guardians of the people disappeared in the flood zone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
