Trump claimed that the claim that AI will destroy humanity is completely false. On his social media platform Truth Social, he said, “Never in the history of business has an industry giant demanded regulations that lead to their own destruction. \u2019<\/p>\n
Trump said, “The idea that AI is taking over the world, destroying humanity and all other evil things is just a hoax. This is a new lie like the Russia conflict, the Ukraine conflict, and the impeachment conspiracy.” \u2019<\/p>\n
According to US President Trump, AI and data centers will prove to be the biggest economic engine in history. “They will become a bigger market than oil, gold, diamonds and the internet,” Trump said, “Those who say that AI will destroy the world are the same people who previously claimed that climate change will destroy the world. I will expose this new hypocrisy.” The idea that robots will take over cities is completely baseless. \u2019<\/p>\n
It’s worth noting that OpenAI’s Sam Altman recently took a balanced view. He said, “Security standards should not be compromised under the pressure of U.S. competition. The capabilities of AI should not be allowed to surpass monitoring and control. \u2019<\/p>\n
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is also against exaggerating the dangers of AI. President Trump called Huang during a podcast interview on Monday. Huang hung up the phone on speaker, and the two leaders agreed that there was a lot of fear in the market about AI.
