Kathmandu. Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company Limited has organized ‘Sun Nepal Club Motivating Program’ at Radisson Hotel, Itahari. Rajendra Maharjan, chief of Nepal Insurance Province Office, said that along with the expansion of insurance business, the insurance agency has urged the insurance agents to give priority to the welfare of the insured, risk management and professional conduct. <\/p>\n
Maharjan said that the agent should choose the appropriate insurance plan after evaluating the financial condition, needs and risk of the customer. According to him, the insured should be clearly informed about the facilities, conditions, risks and liabilities of the insurance scheme while selling it. <\/p>\n
Stating that the role of agent was important in reducing the miscellaneous problem seen in the insurance sector, he urged all not to disseminate wrong, incomplete or misleading information. “Since the agents are the representatives of the insurance companies as well as the brand ambassadors of the company, their behavior will have an impact on the company’s reputation and public trust in the insurance sector,” he said. <\/p>\n
He stressed on the need to fully comply with the agent code of conduct and internalize professional dignity, transparency and responsibility. He said that it is an important responsibility of the agent to provide the necessary services, information related to the insurance policy and facilitate the claim process even after getting the insurance. <\/p>\n
