Kathmandu. The second fortnightly award of the month of July under the Taxpayer Incentive Award is being announced today. The Inland Revenue Department organized a program at the Ministry of Finance. Consumers engaged in regular transactions from August 1 to 14 will participate in the prize to be announced today. According to the department, the number of consumers participating in the award has increased in the first month itself. <\/p>\n
A total of 3,57,149 cash transaction bills have been registered for the gift from August 1 to 14. <\/p>\n
Earlier, in the first 15 days of July, the number of transactions of consumers uploading bills was only 7,077. <\/p>\n
Similarly, the number of transactions of customers who automatically participated in the gift scheme through QR transactions has increased from 2,56,08,094 to 3,20,86,380. <\/p>\n
According to the department, the total number of transactions under the gift scheme in the last 16 days has reached 3,24,43,229. A total of 17 winners will be selected today. Out of which, 16 people will win Rs 1,33,334 each for 16 days from August 2 to 16. They will get Rs 1 lakh after deducting tax. <\/p>\n
At the same time, one of them will win a bumper prize of Rs 10 lakh. The prize money will be taxed at 25 percent. <\/p>\n
