France&#8217;s Supreme Court has overturned the government&#8217;s decision to ban social media for children under the age of 15. The court ruled that the social media ban violates freedom of expression. <\/p>\n<p>French lawmakers backed a law on banning social media in July. It became the first European country to ban children from these platforms amid concerns about its negative impact on children&#8217;s mental health. <\/p>\n<p>French President Emmanuel Macron pledged to implement it in a phased manner from September.
