Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) has announced the date for the NSJF Pulsar Sports Award 2083. Organizing a program in Kathmandu on Wednesday, the forum announced that the 23rd edition of the award will be held on September 3 at ‘The Blue Pavilion’ of Nepal Police Club. <\/p>\n
The forum has also signed an agreement with the main sponsor Golchha Group for the award. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by the forum’s Chairman Niranjan Adhikari and Director of Golchha Group Abhimanyu Golchha. The two had signed a five-year deal last year. Which is running in its second year. This is the 19th consecutive time Golchha Group has been associated with this award. <\/p>\n
Abhimanyu Golchha, Director of Golchha Group, said, “We are happy to be associated with the award continuously and are continuously working for the betterment of Nepali sports. “We are proud that Golchha Group is continuing its 19 years of continuous journey with Nepal Sports Journalists’ Forum. The Golchha Group is committed to upgrading the sports by encouraging the players, coaches and other personalities who contribute to the sports sector. And in partnership with Nepal Sports Journalists Forum, we are confident that this award will be even more effective and remarkable.” \u201d<\/p>\n
Chairman of Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) Adhikari thanked Golchha Group for its continuous association with one of the oldest and most reputed business houses of Nepal for making the award more systematic and continuing. <\/p>\n
General Secretary of the Forum, Anjan Khadka, said that the award will be given in 9 categories in the Pulsar Sports Award 2083. The awards include player of the year male, player of the year female, youth player of the year, coach of the year, para-athlete award, special award, lifetime achievement award and Asian Sports Journalist Award. <\/p>\n
Khadka also informed that the nominations for player of the year male, female, youth, coach and People’s Choice category will be made public in a few days. For this, the player selection committee of the forum has already started preparations. There will be 5-5 candidates in the nomination. <\/p>\n
The winners of Lifetime, Special, Para Athlete and Asian Sports Journalist Award will be announced on the same day. General Secretary Khadka informed that the nomination for the People’s Choice category will be made public soon as it will be done through voting. <\/p>\n
The winners of Player of the Year Male, Female, People’s Choice, Coach and Youth category will be rewarded with a Pulsar motorcycle. The winners of other categories and felicitators will receive Rs 1 lakh each. <\/p>\n
Similarly, a main organizing committee has been formed under the chairmanship of Forum Chairman Niranjan Adhikari to make the Pulsar Sports Award 2083 a success. Various sub-committees have also been formed for the award program. <\/p>\n
Dipendra Singh Airee of cricket, Erica Gurung of women’s karate, Pooja Mahato of cricket in youth category and Kabiraj Negi Lama of para taekwondo won awards under men’s category under men’s category. Volleyball’s Himal Sunari won the People’s Choice Award with the highest number of votes. <\/p>\n
Taekwondo’s Tulasi Kumar Gurung was honoured with Special Award, Prabha Angdambe with Para Athlete Award, journalist Rana Hassan of Bangladesh with Asian Sports Journalist Award and Khadga Ranabhat with Lifetime Achievement Award.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
