KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) held a meeting with representatives of contractors on the issues related to existing problems in the construction sector, promotion of construction business and development of physical infrastructure. <\/p>\n<p>During a meeting with the office-bearers of the Federation of Contractors&#8217; Association of Nepal (FCAN) at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Prime Minister Shah said that the government was positive to resolve the problems seen in this sector. He stressed the need for active and effective cooperation of all sides to complete the construction work on time by making the construction business dignified, transparent, responsible and result-oriented. <\/p>\n<p>The contractors briefed the PM about challenges faced by the construction sector in payment, extension of deadline, contract management, timely execution of projects, price adjustment, banking and investment.
