Kathmandu. NLG Insurance Company Limited organized the Annual Action Plan and Agriculture Insurance Promotion Program in Kohalpur Municipality Ward No. A one-day awareness and discussion programme on agriculture and livestock insurance was held on Province 13. <\/p>\n
The chief guest of the program was Kohalpur Municipality Ward No. Ward Chairman of Ward No. 13, Dambar Bahadur Khadka, said that the insurance has an important role to provide financial security to the farmers from natural disasters, diseases and other risks in agriculture and livestock sector. He urged the farmers and livestock farmers to make their produce and business safe by being included in the insurance coverage. <\/p>\n
The special guest of the program, Mr. Bibek Bhandari, Branch Chief of NLG Insurance Limited, Nepalgunj Branch, informed about the services provided by the company to the farmers through agriculture and livestock insurance, insurance process, claim management and importance of insurance. <\/p>\n
Stating that the Company has been providing easy, fast and reliable service keeping in mind the welfare of farmers, he expressed the belief that such awareness programs would be effective to further widen the access of agriculture insurance. <\/p>\n
Similarly, livestock technician Lokendra B.C. of Kohalpur Municipality Agriculture Branch. On the occasion, Prof. Dilli Bahadur Khadka and Prof. Dilli Bahadur Khadka provided technical information on various risks in livestock rearing, disease control, biosecurity and modern livestock management as well as the need for insurance. Addressing the queries of the farmers, they said that insurance is an effective means of providing financial security in case of unforeseen loss. <\/p>\n
Kohalpur Municipality Ward No. A total of 47 people including farmers, livestock farmers and agri-entrepreneurs from Ward No. 12 and 13 participated in the meeting. <\/p>\n
In the program, an interactive discussion was held on the need of agriculture and livestock insurance, the process of making insurance, the documents required for claim, risk management and services provided by the company.
