The government has decided to impose a fine of up to Rs 10 lakh on petrol pumps for creating artificial shortage of fuel. <\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies has amended the Nepal Oil Corporation&#8217;s Petroleum Products Dealers Bylaw-2075 to take stern action against petrol pumps causing artificial shortage. According to the amended provision, for the first time, a fine of Rs 300,000 will be imposed on those pumps creating artificial shortage of fuel and the supply will be stopped for 5 days. <\/p>\n<p>Likewise, if the petrol pump is found guilty of inappropriate act for the second time, the petrol pump will be fined Rs 600,000, fuel supply will be stopped for 10 days, Rs 1 million will be fined Rs 1 million for the third time and the supply will be stopped for 15 days.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
