The Stock Brokers Association (SBAN), an umbrella organization of stock brokers, has issued a notice to Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) for the fiscal year 2083. It has presented six suggestions related to the stock market to be included in the Monetary Policy of 84 BS. <\/p>\n<p>The association submitted its recommendation at the central office of the Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) at Baluwatar today. The Association has suggested that the monetary policy should include suggestions ranging from easing share trading in the secondary market to creating an environment conducive for bringing non-resident Nepalis to the stock market. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>Here are the suggestions<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>} Banks and financial institutions should amend the existing provision that allows them to buy securities through the secondary market but not at least 6 months before the sale of securities and make arrangements for easy entry and exit. This will make it easier for the banks and financial institutions to make alternative income by investing in the secondary market in favor of the existing excess liquidity in the banks and financial institutions. <\/li>\n<p>{{TAG_OPEN_li_21} In case the procedure for providing margin trading loans to customers through securities broker companies has not been able to resume the service, margin trading loans should be created as a separate type of product and such loans should be classified as commercial loans by keeping such loans separate from the limit of share mortgage loans. <\/li>\n<\/p>\n<p>Instead of capping the share mortgage loan or margin loan provided by banks and financial institutions to 40 percent of the principal capital, provision should be made to calculate the total loan investment in a certain percentage like other credit headings such as agricultural loan, poor loan, real sector loan, hydropower loan, etc.TAG_OPEN_li_20 <\/li>\n<\/p>\n<li> Non-Resident Nepali and Foreign Institutional Investors will be allowed to invest in the secondary market and make arrangements to easily repatriate the profits. <\/li>\n<p>The government should issue development bonds, bonds, citizen savings certificates, foreign employment bonds issued by the Nepal Rastra Bank through the Rastra Bank, and make arrangements for easy trading in the secondary market so that the general public can easily buy and sell them by listing them in NEPSE.TAG_OPEN_li_18 <\/li>\n<\/p>\n<li>} The Central Research Securities Member Broker Company Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police has been sending letters to the banks to freeze the main bank account for daily transactions and settlement and to proceed with the investigation process. Clause 6 (2) of the &#8216;Bank Account Freeze and Release Bylaws-2081&#8217; should be amended to &#8216;The account held by the licensed institution for the purpose of settlement of payment service providers and securities trading institutions shall not be frozen&#8217; as it would create confusion, mistrust and instability in the market. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A few days ago, the central bank had sought suggestions from stakeholders for the monetary policy for the coming fiscal year. Accordingly, the association has submitted its suggestions to the NRB. <\/p>\n<p>As per the provision, the NRB has to bring the annual monetary policy within 15 days of the beginning of the new fiscal year.
