Tech giant Apple may soon increase the prices of its iPhones and other products. CEO Tim Cook said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal, &#8220;The global shortage of memory and storage chips has led to a significant increase in component costs. \u2019<\/p>\n<p>According to Cook, Apple was one of the companies that, despite the memory crisis, did not increase the price of a smartphone after launch. &#8220;So far, the company has been absorbing the increased costs, but increasing pressure from suppliers has forced prices to rise,&#8221; he said. <\/p>\n<p>The smartphone industry has been experiencing persistent inflation for several months. Other major brands such as Xiaomi, OnePlus and Oppo have also increased the prices of their handsets. In contrast, Apple established its market dominance by maintaining stable starting prices for its flagship models.
