In the 10 months of &#8217;83 (July-April), more than Rs 50.25 billion has been spent on the salaries and allowances of the employees. <\/p>\n<p>According to the data released by Nepal Rastra Bank, 20 commercial banks have spent a total of Rs 50.31 billion till mid-April of the current fiscal year. Last year, 2081. Compared to the same period of 2018, the expenses of banks increased by 3.90 percent. In the same period of the previous year, the banks had spent Rs 48.42 billion on salaries and allowances. <\/p>\n<p>Rastriya Banijya Bank was the largest spender in the review period while Citizens Bank was ahead in terms of spending growth. Compared to the previous year, the expenses of 15 banks have increased while the expenses of five banks have decreased. <\/p>\n<p>Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB) has spent Rs 4.12 billion in salary and allowances to its employees till mid-April of the current fiscal year. In the same period last year, the bank spent Rs 3.52 billion. Compared to the previous year, such expenses of the bank increased by 16.75 percent. <\/p>\n<p>Similarly, Nabil Bank is the second highest consumer in salary and allowances of employees. As of April, the bank has spent a total of Rs 3.48 billion. It had spent Rs 3.10 billion in the same period of the previous year. Compared to the previous year, the bank&#8217;s expenses increased by 12.46 percent. <\/p>\n<p>Global IME Bank is the third highest spender. In the review period of the previous year, the bank spent Rs 3.27 billion on salary and allowances of its employees, which increased by 4.52 percent to Rs 3.42 billion in the review period. <\/p>\n<p>As of the review period, Standard Chartered Bank has spent the least amount on salary and allowances of employees. The bank has spent Rs 86.86 crore. The bank had spent Rs 87.40 crore in the same period last year.
