Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: IME Pvt. Ltd., synonymous with Nepali remittance service, celebrated its 26th anniversary in Kathmandu on Friday. <\/p>\n
Speaking on the occasion, Hemraj Dhakal, Founder and Chairman of IME Limited remarked that financial inclusion and economic transformation as the main mantra for digital innovation in the days ahead, is committed to providing more refined, secure and faster integrated financial services through digital innovation. He recalled that the small concept born out of his experience while in foreign employment has become not only a remittance service but also a reliable and integral part of the entire financial and digital payment system. <\/p>\n
IME has been playing an important role in promoting financial inclusion and socio-economic transformation by expanding financial access to the remote to urban areas of the country. Dhakal expressed his commitment to make remittance and other financial services more refined, secure and fast by adopting new technology with the main objective of ‘development of technology along with economic transformation’ in the context of changing nature of service delivery with the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning. <\/p>\n
Similarly, Founder of IME Group, Chandra Prasad Dhakal said, “It is a matter of pride that in 26 years of its journey, the identity of ‘Remit is IME’ and ‘IME is Remit’. He pledged to continue working with the government to make the national economy dynamic by bringing in remittance through the formal system, contributing to strengthening foreign currency reserve and releasing the received remittance to productive sectors. <\/p>\n
Similarly, Chief Executive Officer of IME Limited, Diwakar Poudel, said that IME was providing services based on cooperation, technical excellence, business ethics and common values as the main line of action. He pledged to move ahead directly connected to the daily life of the common people through diversified services by embracing the technological development. <\/p>\n
On the occasion, IME’s new logo was also unveiled. The new logo will represent IME’s broader range of financial services. <\/p>\n
On the occasion, the winners and runners-up of inter-company sports and various competitions were awarded certificates, medals and trophies. In addition, a special honor was also given to the employees associated with the company for a long time.
