Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Nepal Reinsurance Company Surendra Thapa has been suspended after the District Government Attorney&#8217;s Office filed a corruption case at the Special Court on Thursday. <\/p>\n<p>Thapa was suspended from the post of CEO of Nepal Ricoh after the Public Attorney&#8217;s Office filed a charge sheet at the Special Court on the basis of the report prepared by the investigation team formed by the Department of Money Laundering. Thapa, a permanent resident of Tansen Municipality-13 of Palpa, is currently living in Chandragiri Municipality-14, Kathmandu. <\/p>\n<p>The charge sheet was filed as per Section 22 of the Money Laundering Prevention Act, 2064 and Section 32 of the Civil Prosecution Code, 2074. <\/p>\n<p>The then government had appointed Thapa as the CEO of Nepal Ricoh in May 2, 2081. <\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the Office of the Government Attorney had filed a charge sheet at the Kathmandu District Court against 81 people including Thapa on the charge of cheating the general public through organized activities in the stock market.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
