KATHMANDU: Standard Chartered Bank Nepal has planted saplings at the Adinath Community Forest in Kirtipur. On the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, 500 saplings of fruit-bearing and flowering species were planted with the participation of 350 employees and local communities. <\/p>\n<p>The initiative aims to promote greenery in local areas, support biodiversity, and contribute to long-term environmental sustainability. <\/p>\n<p>The saplings were jointly inaugurated by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Standard Chartered Bank Gorakh Rana and Chairman of Adinath Community Forest Users&#8217; Group Kedar Basnet. <\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the occasion, CEO of the Bank, Mr. Gorakh Rana appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the employees towards the protection of environment. &#8220;We are proud to share this,&#8221; he said. Over the years, our employees have helped plant nearly 40,000 saplings in Lalitpur and Kirtipur area alone.
