In an interview with Fox News, Trump said his top priority was to make sure Iran never got a nuclear weapon. He also claimed that Iran had agreed not to develop a nuclear bomb. “My guarantee is that there will be no nuclear weapons. Iran has agreed to that,” he said. <\/p>\n
However, Iran has not yet officially confirmed this claim. However, Iran has previously denied such claims. <\/p>\n
President Trump said another major benefit of the deal would be the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Hormuz is one of the most important maritime trade routes in the world. This route carries a large part of the global oil supply. Tensions have persisted in the past months due to conflict and blockade. Trump believes that only through the deal can maritime transport return to normal and stabilize energy markets. <\/p>\n
Trump has also claimed that Iran is weak due to US military pressure. “We have almost defeated Iran’s army,” he said. But I’d rather compromise than military action. Because Hormuz can be opened as soon as the agreement is signed. \u2019<\/p>\n
However, Trump warned that the US would not back down if the talks failed. “We’re very close to a big deal,” Trump said. If not, we will end it militarily. \u2019<\/p>\n
