The action plan was prepared by the National Risk Reduction and Management Authority under the Ministry of Home Affairs. During the 4 months of the monsoon, there are losses and losses due to natural disasters. Monsoon arrives in Nepal from the end of May. <\/p>\n
This action plan has been prepared to deal with the same disaster, rescue the victims immediately and make necessary coordination. <\/p>\n
The objectives of the action plan are <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n To predict the possible risk of monsoon-induced disasters by analyzing data on past disaster incidents and impacts. <\/p>\n To determine the responsibilities of the bodies related to disaster management for monsoon preparedness and response. <\/p>\n To minimize damage by making monsoon response effective by formulating coordinated and integrated activities in monsoon preparedness and response. <\/p>\n According to the action plan, 2,358 incidents of natural disasters took place from 2073 BS to 2082 BS. As many as 678 people were killed, 269 missing and 215 injured. A total of 23,805 families were affected by these incidents. A total of 2,248 houses were damaged. A total of 2,378 cattle were damaged. <\/p>\n A total of 26,219 security personnel will be mobilized across the country for disaster response during the monsoon this year, according to the action plan. A total of 7,524 personnel are from the Nepal Army, 10,585 from the Nepal Police and 8,110 from the Armed Police Force (including 134 divers). <\/p>\n Similarly, 1,404 trained volunteers will be mobilized across the country. The Nepal Red Cross Society will also mobilize 12,674 volunteers. <\/p>\n How much is in the disaster fund? <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n A total of Rs 7.56 billion and USD 84,797 has been deposited in the Disaster Management Fund at the central, provincial and district levels.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Kathmandu.
