Kathmandu.\u00a0Golden Gate Basketball Club under GoldenGate International College is going to organize a special basketball tournament targeting the students who have taken the SEE exam. The tournament will be held on May 22-23, 2026 at the premises of Golden Gate International College in Battisputali. <\/p>\n
According to the college, the competition is being organized with the objective of identifying sports talents among the students, encouraging them and connecting them with the national level sports environment. Golden Gate Basketball Club, a 13-time national champion, believes it will provide a great opportunity for young players to showcase their potential. <\/p>\n
The winning team will receive a cash prize of Rs 100 each. The runners-up will get Rs 20,000 and the runners-up will get Rs 20,000. They will receive 10,000 prizes. Also, the best player of the tournament (MVP) will be awarded a basketball shoe exclusively. <\/p>\n
All the participating students will also be given an opportunity to participate in a 15-day free basketball camp to be conducted under the training of senior coach Manish Nakarmi and national players. Through this camp, students will get an opportunity to develop their sports skills. All the participating SEE students will get an opportunity to get admission in class 11 on a special scholarship in the college. <\/p>\n
In addition, the top performers will be given the opportunity to join Golden Gate’s 13-time national champion basketball club. <\/p>\n
A fee of Rs. 1000 per team is required to participate in the tournament. An entry fee of Rs 1,000 has been fixed. Interested teams can register via the online form: <\/p>\n
