Kathmandu. MetLife Nepal has officially launched its services in Jumla. This has taken a significant step towards expanding financial security and access to insurance services in one of the most remote and service-deficient areas of Nepal. This expansion is part of MetLife Nepal’s commitment to provide insurance services across the country, especially to remote communities. <\/p>\n
Established keeping in mind the special challenges faced by the residents of Jumla such as limited infrastructure and lack of access to financial services, the local agency office aims to provide personalized customer service, increase financial literacy and create employment opportunities at the local level. <\/p>\n
The initiative aims to provide practical tools and guidance to local families to help them build a financially secure future. In a bid to further support the Jumla community, MetLife Nepal has partnered with Surya Social Service Society to hand over smart boards to Chandannath Higher Secondary School and Janata Secondary School. <\/p>\n
This support has significantly contributed to providing students with a more engaging and interactive learning environment and equipping teachers with modern classroom technology. In addition, MetLife Nepal is also conducting insurance awareness programs targeting local youth, which is expected to inspire them to develop responsible financial behaviors and make long-term financial plans. <\/p>\n
Speaking at the inauguration of the Jumla office, Nirmal Kaji Shrestha, General Manager of MetLife Nepal, said, “The inauguration of the Jumla agency office reflects our commitment to provide financial security to even the remotest communities in the country.
