Kathmandu. Finance Minister Swarnim Wagle has said that there is no need to use the stick of money laundering as everything is transparent in the share market. <\/p>\n
Minister Wagle said this during a meeting with a delegation of Stock Brokers Association of Nepal at the Ministry of Finance today. “All issues are transparent in the stock market. “There is no need for anyone to fear as the issue of who paid how much tax is transparent,” he said, adding that the government has no intention of arresting anyone and disrupting the stock market. \u2019<\/p>\n
He said that the capital market itself is a transparent business sector and no one should panic. “The private sector employs 9 out of 10 people, so no government has any intention to discourage it,” he said. <\/p>\n
Finance Minister Wagle said that the government would further expand the private sector. “This government is the most liberal government since 2048 BS. Now, if someone starts manipulating the stock market, we will regulate it, we will also make the Securities Board efficient. \u2019<\/p>\n
Finance Minister Wagle said that the capital market has been given priority in the manifesto of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). “Capital market is an exemplary business and other sectors should also be made like this,” he said. <\/p>\n
Finance Minister Wagle stressed on restructuring of Nepal Stock Exchange. <\/p>\n
Brokers members present in the meeting stressed that the Finance Minister should hold a press conference by incorporating NEPSE and SEBON as the morale of small investors has deteriorated in the capital market.
