Kathmandu. Nepal Insurance Authority, Koshi Province Office has organized a discussion and interaction program with local women groups of Biratnagar on Saturday. The program was organized with the objective of raising awareness about the need and importance of insurance among women. <\/p>\n
Speaking at the program, Chief of Nepal Insurance Authority, Koshi Province Office, Preeti Dev informed about the types of insurance including life insurance, health insurance, agriculture insurance, etc. Stating that insurance is an effective means to protect against disaster, accident and sudden financial risk, she informed the women about the importance of insurance process and claim process. <\/p>\n
In the program, the women participated in the program asked about the benefits of insurance related to insurance, whether the person who needs insurance is ill or not, how to get the facility of PID and what insurance can be done in the group. In the program, questions were raised on the access, process and trust of insurance service, especially in the rural areas. <\/p>\n
Responding to queries from participants, NRA Koshi Province Chief Preeti Dev said that efforts were on to make the insurance process easy and accessible. She said that insurance provides financial support during disasters and health problems, adding that it is necessary to insure the insurance from some savings we have earned. <\/p>\n
She also urged women’s groups to adopt the insurance scheme in a group and spread awareness at the community level. About 60 women from 4 different version groups participated in the program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
