Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Hemraj Dhakal group has emerged victorious in the upcoming election of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI). FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal-led group openly supported Hemraj Dhakal’s group. <\/p>\n
Likewise, Jyotsna Shrestha has filed their candidacies for the post of senior vice-president, Kamala Shrestha for the post of woman vice-president and Umesh Dalmiya and Kalpana Gaire for the post of district town vice-president. <\/p>\n
While announcing the candidacy of Vice-President Naresh Lal Shrestha, Chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal said that incumbent senior vice-president Anjan Shrestha has played a dirty game in the name of building the team. “I am still in favour of unanimity and I have been able to elect leadership unanimously in some provinces,” he said, adding, “If the next chairman moves ahead by forming his team by creating obstacles in the efforts of consensus against the spirit of the statute.” ‘<\/p>\n
He also said that he would leave no stone unturned to make Hemraj Dhakal’s group victorious if any group tries to thwart the unanimous effort. Earlier, Dhakal, who remained neutral when he was automatically elected the chairman, had elected the party in an independent contest. However, Dhakal was angry after the new chairman started playing dirty games by showing the shame of the nominated and chairpersons of various committees. <\/p>\n
Speaking at a program, former presidents of the federation said that Anjan Shrestha’s act was a dirty game in the federation and it should be stopped. Dhakal, who has a strong presence in all the three areas of associates, commodity and district, has openly supported Hemraj Dhakal’s group, which has sent a positive message to the market. <\/p>\n
At the same time, the stakeholders say that his support is sure of the victory of the panel including the vice-president in the material and associate category. An expert with FNCCI said, “The incumbent president Dhakal has a large number of votes in the associate category and has a good hold on the commodity side as well. <\/p>\n
Hemraj Dhakal has been elected the senior vice-president and Kamala Shrestha the vice-president under women’s quota. Similarly, Kamala Shrestha, Bhakta Bahadur Hamal, Subodh Kumar Gupta, Lilendra Pradhan, Pashupati Dev Pandey, Hari Bahadur Karki, Rajendra Sangraula, Durga Prasad Subedi, Nirajan Bahadur Chalaune, Sagar Dhakal, Krishna Bhakta Shrestha, Bidur Dhamala, Suraj Banjade and Biplav Adhikari are the members from the association. Likewise, Sunaina Ghimire Pandey and Sudhir Parajuli are the members representing the FNCCI. <\/p>\n
