Non-life insurers have seen the highest business in motor insurance. <\/p>\n<p>According to the data released by the Nepal Insurance Authority, the current fiscal year 2082. Non-life insurers have collected Rs 28.27 billion in insurance premiums till January 18, 2018. Among them, 14 non-life insurers and four micro life insurers have contributed Rs 9.15 billion in the insurance sector. This was the previous fiscal year 2081. That&#8217;s 19.95 percent more than the same period in &#8217;82. In the same period last year, the companies had collected Rs 7.68 billion in insurance premiums. <\/p>\n<p>The second largest business of companies is seen in property insurance. In the review period, the company increased its turnover by 6.98 percent to Rs 6.77 billion from Rs 6.33 billion in the previous year. <\/p>\n<p>Similarly, a third of the business companies have brought in engineering and contract risk insurance. During the review period, the company earned Rs 4.51 billion in insurance premiums. It was 25.11 percent over the same period last year. The company had collected Rs 3.61 billion in insurance premiums in the same period last year. <\/p>\n<p>In the current fiscal year, the companies have collected Rs 3.06 billion in insurance premiums, Rs 1.74 billion in marine insurance, Rs 1.28 billion in air insurance, Rs 982.8 million in agriculture and crop insurance and Rs 74.47 million in micro insurance. In the same period of the previous year, the companies collected Rs 2.85 billion in insurance of miscellaneous insurance, Rs 1.45 billion in marine insurance, Rs 1.35 billion in air insurance, Rs 964.7 million in agriculture and crop insurance and Rs 513.2 million in micro insurance. <\/p>\n<p>Compared to the previous year, the business of the companies increased by 7.49 percent in miscellaneous insurance, 19.62 percent in marine insurance, 1.87 percent in agriculture and crop insurance and 45.12 percent in micro insurance and 5.42 percent in air insurance. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><strong>What is the market share? <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Motor insurance segment accounted for 32.40 percent of the company&#8217;s total business till mid-March of the current fiscal year. <\/p>\n<p>Likewise, in total trade, property (23.97 percent), engineering and contract risk (15.98 percent), miscellaneous (10.85 percent), maritime (6.16 percent), aviation (4.53 percent), agriculture and agriculture (3.48 percent) and micro (2.64 percent) were in the market.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
