Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) will be banking on the current fiscal year 2082. It is preparing to bring a half-yearly review of the monetary policy of 83. <\/p>\n<p>According to the Nepal Rastra Bank Act, 2058 BS, the annual monetary policy should be brought within 15 days of the beginning of the new fiscal year. Every quarterly and half-yearly review should be brought within 45 days of the end of the quarter. <\/p>\n<p>NRB Executive Director and Spokesperson Guru Prasad Poudel said works are underway to bring the monetary review by next week as per this provision. &#8220;There is a provision that the monetary review has to be brought within 45 days of the end of the quarter, so the monetary review will be made public by Friday,&#8221; he said. <\/p>\n<p>Poudel said that the monetary review is being prepared at the Department of Economic Research. &#8220;The department can prepare the monetary review within 2-3 days and send it to the management committee. \u2019<\/p>\n<p>However, there is a concern whether there will be any change in the policy provisions in the monetary review in the context of the implementation of the election code of conduct for the House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 4. On this issue, spokesperson Poudel said that the Department of Economic Investigation may have been working without violating the code of conduct. &#8220;The code of conduct will not have any effect on bringing the monetary review as it is a regular process,&#8221; he said, &#8220;But the concerned department can consult the Election Commission in case some changes are needed.&#8221; I don&#8217;t know if the department is consulting or not. \u2019<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
