Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has advised people not to use unsecured networks for digital banking. <\/p>\n<p>The central bank issued a notice for financial awareness today. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has stated that there may be a risk of unauthorized persons accessing personal banking details while using public, free or any other unsecured network for digital banking transactions. <\/p>\n<p>The NRB has warned that various hackers and financial criminals may also be connected to such networks, so access to important financial details of individuals can be misused. &#8220;Therefore, to ensure the safety of personal and banking details, you should only conduct online banking transactions through a secure and trusted network,&#8221; the notice reads. <\/p>\n<p>In addition, the NRB has advised to change the password and PIN code of the transaction using the bank&#8217;s official website and application from time to time while doing online banking transactions. &#8220;Therefore, we should be cautious while conducting electronic banking transactions using Wi-Fi network in public places,&#8221; the NRB has said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
