Independent Power Producers&#8217; Association, Nepal (IPPAN) President Ganesh Karki has said that the government does not have a plan to manage the consumption of electricity despite the increasing power generation. Giving suggestions to the &#8216;Economic Agenda in the Party&#8217;s Manifesto&#8217; organized by the Association of Economic Journalists of Nepal in Kathmandu on Sunday, Chairman Karki said that the private sector should be given the responsibility to export electricity. <\/p>\n<p>According to Karki, the political parties should promise to improve the policies on export, consumption and trade of electricity produced and emphasize on its implementation. <\/p>\n<p>\u2018<\/p>\n<p>Electricity is not only produced but consumption plans are needed. Arrangements should be made to buy electricity produced by the private sector or return the license,&#8221; Karki said.
